Lily Farid is the epitome of an all rounded individual whose dreams and ambitions know no barriers. Since her childhood, she has been exceptionally active in activities involving music, art, dance, theatre, volunteer work, without losing focus of her academics.
From 2008 till 2010, Lily Farid has volunteered to work in the Ministry of Family and Population in 2010 with the purpose of defending Children’s Rights in Egypt while participating in numerous conferences negotiating education, health care, participation and safety of children in the Middle-East.
In 2010, Lily was selected to be the guest speaker on behalf of the children in the Middle-East in order to give recommendations about modern education in a strategic perspective. She was also elected to be the official child representative for the 20th Anniversary of the UN Convention on the Rights of the Child where she incorporated her artistic side alongside her ministry by directing a film about the standards of living of the typical Egyptian child, which won first prize in a film competition in Syria.
On an artistic level, Farid was able to nourish her talents by taking professional classes at the American University in Cairo with famous vocal instructor, Dr Neveen Allouba for two consecutive years starting 2011-2012 where she categorized her voice as a Mezzo Soprano. In 2014, Farid moved to Spain to study International Business, Latin Rhythmic dance, and Music at Saint Louis University. She was taught vocal methods by the renowned Irish vocal instructor Guðrún Jóhanna Ólafsdóttir where she expanded her range extensively to Spanish, Italian, English and French music, alongside her native Arabic repertoire, and won 1st prize in the singing competition in 2015.
Despite her keen efforts on developing her artistic skills, Lily Farid graduated with honors in 2016 from the American University in Cairo with a bachelor degree in Business Administration, and a focus in Marketing. Farid worked as a Business Assistant Consultant in Global Strategic Consultants where she managed crises of struggling companies and suggested marketing plans which led to increases in sales.
Today, Lily Farid earned the title of Marketing Manager at Soft Power Productions, the ideal position she has been thriving for which demands the combination of all the different skills she has to offer.
